First Children Services Announces the Promotion of Chris Perry to Chief Financial Officer

First Children Services, a provider of behavioral health and special education services to children throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, has announced the promotion of Christopher Perry to chief financial officer. Chris joined the organization as controller in August 2019 with direct responsibility for all finance, accounting and human resources functions for the company.

“Chris has been a phenomenal addition to our team and has proven to be a great leader within First Children. He is a very strong accountant but also has the ability to see the larger operational picture to drive superior financial results while maintaining the highest standards of service quality and outcomes for the children we serve. We are extremely lucky to have him on the team” said Joseph Hess, First Children’s president and outgoing CFO.

Prior to joining First Children, Chris served as chief financial officer at St. Christopher Pediatric Associates and Hahnemann Physician Group; regional director of operations and finance with Tenet Healthcare; and lead business process engineer and manager of finance at Cooper Health System.

Throughout Chris’s career, he has established a reputation as a transformational leader who is driven by challenge, undeterred by obstacles, and committed to furthering standards of excellence. His expertise encompasses all aspects of financial management, operational oversight, project management, and software implementation. On the business development and administration side, he has demonstrated an ability to harness team strengths to improve performance operationally and financially by introducing improvements to develop new streams of revenue and cost controls.

Chris received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Centenary University and leadership certificate from The Wharton Business School.
